Alia picked up dance at the age of 8 where she began training under Carol Harder for ballet, jazz and pointe. Alia finished UC Irvine with a BFA in Dance, including a specialization in teaching, and a second degree in Social Science minoring in Psychology.  She went into the Tremaine scholarship program, and eventually opened her own dance studio in Whitter, CA.  Alia has a long list of accomplishments including: performance credits in Fame LA and the LA Comedy Awards, dancing on the Queen Mary, Tremaine Best of Show for choreography, creating several original ballets, and student credits with the Northwest Dance Project, Wickedon Broadway, Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” video and the prestigious Princess Grace Award. Alia joined The Urge Dance Complex to continue her passion of teaching after completing her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy where she currently has her own private practice. 



Casa Grant is a Jazz and Hip Hop dancer from Arizona who loves to use his old school/new school training to create movement that is athletic, stylish, and challenging for all ages.  He has trained in studios across the country, has received many scholarships for dance, and awards for competitive choreography.  He has a strong track record working with some of the industry’s top choreographers and celebrities, including Jason Young (Madonna), Andre Fuentes (Britney Spears), Brandon Henschel (Britney Spears), Brooke Lipton (Glee), Jason Myhre (Rihanna), Ashton Kutcher, Rebel Wilson, Mila Kunis, America’s favorite doll - Barbie! - and many more. While he loves being on stage, he is finding his passion lies mostly in creating opportunities for others to perform and share their skills.




Kaitlyn Miller was born and raised in Irvine, California and has been dancing since age five.  She started competing and earning regional and national awards by age nine while studying under Danielle Laven and Noelle Mesa, where she fell in love with jazz because of its high energy and technical work. She was on the Irvine High dance assemble for four years, where she made co-captain of the team and performed in the New Year’s Day Parade in London. Kaitlyn continued studying dance while she got her Associate Degree of Liberal Arts at Orange Coast Community College and is currently studying to be a special education teacher at Concordia University Irvine, graduating in Spring 2017.



Troy Wolsleger has a BA and Masters in Education with a concentration in Dance.  He has studied and trained with numerous teachers including John Magnus of the Joffrey Ballet, Sandra Allen of Brigham Young University, as well as studied master classes with Eddie Brown, Fred Stickler, Abron Glover, Courtney Miller, Paul Kennedy, Jimmy Tate, Winifred Harris, Henry Letang, Waverly Lucas, and Art Palmer.  He has additional training in modern, ballet and jazz from Alvin Ailey and Dance Theatre of Harlem, and key performances include a Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Joffrey Ballet, a Tapimonial for the Riverside’s National Exchange Club receiving first place recognition, the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and the 2000 Orange Bowl halftime show in Miami, Florida. Troy loves spending time with his family, going to Disneyland, and is a Star Wars and The Walking Dead fanatic.




Alexis started dancing at the age of three, joining The Urge Dance Complex in elementary school where she is now a Junior Instructor, member of the Senior Competition Team, and a nationally ranked soloist.  Alexis has trained in Classical ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Modern Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Hip-Hop.  Alexis is an honors student at San Juan Hills High School, participates in the Dance Conservatory, and is a member of the Advanced Dance Production Team. After graduating high school, Alexis plans to attend a 4 year college and continue dancing. She loves sharing her passion for dance with the younger dancers at the studio, and hopes to inspire them the same way she had been when she joined the studio several years ago.



Izzy has been training at The Urge Dance Complex for five years, where she is also part of the dance team, and has won numerous group and solo awards.  She has picked up many styles of dance during her time with us, including: jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop and ballet.  She also studies dance at Crean Lutheran High School and aspires to be a full-time dance teacher one day.  As a junior staff member at The Urge Dance Complex, she is most excited about the opportunity to share her passion for dance with the next generation of students.
